It was reported that about 20 cars of the third batch self-driving trip of “reviewing red memories, travelling around south Hunan” which were from Changsha city arrived at Guidong count on July 18, 2015 and started their trips in the “fitness heaven, summer resort”.

After more than 4-hour driving, the visitors arrived at Guidong County. They visited the First Military Regulations Square, Shatian Stage, Wanshougong and some other red tourism sceneries, and traveled to Guidong Botanic Garden, Santaishan, and other green tourism sceneries. All visitors highly appreciated the sound ecological condition of Guidong county.
It was introduced that the downtown of Guidong county is in 830meters altitude which is the highest of Hunan province. Its forest coverage rate is 85% which is the highest one of Hunan province as well. The average ion content is about 40,000pcs/square centimeter and the highest level can be up to 150,000pcs/square centimeters, so it was evaluated as “the county with highest level of ion content” by the headquarter of Shanghai Great World Guinness.

Guidong county is warm in winter and cool in summer. The annual average temperature of it is 15.4℃ and the average temperature from June- September is 20℃, which enables it to be “the best ecological tourism demonstration county of China”.

Summer is the season which can highly highlight the climate advantages of Guidong county. Compared with Changsha city, its average temperature is 10-15℃ lower. Such sound ecological condition attracts great amount visitors to spend their summer time there.
