    “Lighting Up Chenzhou” Project to Popularize Green Energy in the Following Three Years

    It was learned from the “two oriented society” demonstration zone and “lighting up Chenzhou” on-spot-meeting that high voltage lights will be replaced by LED street lights in the following years and new policies of LED lighting projects will be issued from the year of 2012 to 2014.

     

    From 2012, all the new built or rebuilt roads of Chenzhou cities and counties will be fully extended to use the LED lights. Chenzhou road and other main roads in Chenzhou center city, and main roads of Zixing city and Guiyang County will use LED street lights to forge LED demonstration core belt. Furthermore, Chenzhou will build the pilot area of LED in Chenzhou export processing park (Chenzhou non-ferrous industrial park), Whhan-Guangzhou high speed railway new zone, and Hunan (Suxian) forestry modern industrial park. By 2014, Chenzhou will have reached the goal of full use of LED in the main roads and some secondary roads, symbolic roads, bridges and tunnels.

     

    Moreover, another 10 scenery LED lighting demonstration places will be built in Wuling square, railway station square, high-speed railway station, Wulingge cabinet, south tower park, east tower park, stadium, Suxianling mountain, Wangxianling mountain, and lotus lake, among which 100 semiconductor lighting demonstration units were focused on, forming a business investment road ( scenic ) construction and semiconductor lighting demonstration project .

     

    Chenzhou also releases the policy of listing the semiconductor illumination product into government procurement of energy conservation product. Certain funds from the urban maintenance expense will be arranged for special uses in the semiconductor illumination street light experiment site demonstration and for the application of subsidy and reward. Some key areas will be selected to build the LED lighting application demonstration projects and implementation units with 15% of the total amount of LED lights purchasing will be subsidized.
