Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou led an investigation team with the principals of subordinate municipal departments, Suxian district and Beihu district for in- depth research into urban communities. During the trip, there was a symposium held with the representatives from streets, communities and residents, representatives of the Party and Chenzhou Municipal NPC, members of Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC, and working style supervisors. Zhang Aiguo- member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou, Zhang Yangping- Deputy Director of Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC Standing Committee, and Li Wuyi- Seretary-general of Chenzhou Government accompanied the investigation.
On arrival of Zhujiaping alley in Suxian district, Qu Hai directly told the residents: “we are here for listening to the suggestions of the people.” This kind statement encouraged people present to speak out their demands bravely, for instance, director of Bayi road community said that the construction of Zhujiaping residential areas are too old, its infrastructure is deficient and its regionalism not reasonable. All of these caused the inconveniences to residents’ daily lives, children’s enrollment into school, etc.. One of the residents, Jiang Xiaolan showed the problem of her poor public renting house condition to Qu Hai, who immediately required the relative department principal to solve it at the soonest time.
On the investigation trip to Shengping road community and Feijiping community, Qu Hai learned some details of the property management, living and working conditions from the community principals and residents.
During the symposium time, attendants from different communities raised many useful suggestions on city quality upgrading, community management, residents’ difficulties and so on. Qu Hai made the notes carefully on their speeches and asked the speaker to talk more details of some key problems.
In the symposium, Qu Hai repeatedly promised to establish the livable city and happy homeland. He pointed out the principal objective for introducing the working style rectification, city upgrading, and governance through TV into communities were to obtain people’s concerns and make “immediate operation” become a working normal state. All of these may help to promote the transformation of cadres’ working style, the implementation of different tasks and city upgrading, letting common people truly get material benefits.
