It will be a preliminary examination period for Chenzhou establishment of a national garden city in September. On August 30, 2012, on the preparation deployment conference, Chenzhou government called for all efforts to attend in the preparation work by building “Green Chenzhou” with the feature of “mountain in the city, city in the garden, people in the green land”.

---- Chenjiang River should be with 80% naturalizing rate; Wuling square should be covered with 65% green land; arbor parking lots should be promoted to be more than 60%; “one street, one scenery” should match the seasonal phenomenon; “one garden, one feature”should highlight each garden’s unique characteristic.

----More aquatic plants would be added on lake construction; potted flowers can be hanged on lamp poles; potted plants and flowers and vertical planting should be applied to the public bus stops; better arrangements should be made on the street greening belts to indicate Chenzhou local culture.

---- More flowers would be placed on the gardens and main roads; better amendments should be carried out along the streets to make more bright spots; damaged outdoor advertisements and signboards should be removed; walls, poles, and public toilets should be washed cleanly, and pasted posters should be moved away……

The establishment of a national garden city was the leading pace for Chenzhou government currently. Zhang Aiguo- member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou city pointed out on the conference that there were no special departments in the work of establishing a national garden city, so that all the departments should clarify the responsibility, carry out relative work and arrange regular inspection during this period. All the problems discovered should be rectified in time. Poor action on the rectification must be held to account.
