It was learned from Chenzhou ecological civilization mobilization and establishment of national forest city promotion conference that Jiahe county was granted with the first prize for its eucalyptus reforestation work handled out in 2013 greening project construction.

Focusing on the construction of greening and ecological new Jiahe county concept, Jiahe county paid great attention on the construction of ecological circle in urban area, expressways, great cross of Guijianing and Jiaxinlan and mountain greening projects along the highways of the county and towns. Professional greening reforestation teams were hired to carry out the projects to ensure all to be fulfilled with high quality. Furthermore, problems hindered on the construction process were conquered and greening strategies were implemented well to promote the urban and rural greening projects forcefully and form new overall form of the county.

Till the end of this September, 38,900mu barren mountain afforestation work has been finished in Jiahe county. More work on the construction of squares and parks and greening land, greening of river banks, upgrading of highways, establishment of Lingnan provincial forest park, demonstration towns and villages were handled out well. Some fined leisure ecological products and tourism products as Jiulaofeng landscape, Huijing ecological sighting viewing garden, Nanling fruits gallery, etc. were developed out in Jiahe county. Jiahe Xiangnan Nursery Garden was approved as one of the ten rare tree cultivation demonstration units of Hunan province.
