On September 19, the press conference of Linwu County celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of PRC was held in the Press Release Hall of the Municipal Government.

Li Hao, Secretary of the Linwu County Party Committee, introduced the great achievements and profound changes Linwu County has made in economic and social development since the founding of New China 70 years ago under the theme of "practicing the new development concept and promoting the leapfrog development of Linwu County".

Linwu County has gone through an unusual 70 years with the rapid progress of New China. Especially since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, the county has persisted in taking Xi Jinping's socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era as its guide, firmly promoting the implementation of decision-making and deployment of the CPC Central Committee, provincial and municipal committees, and has achieved one historic leap after another. The county's economic strength, people's lives, urban and rural outlook and other aspects have undergone tremendous changes. Linwu County has taken on a new look, creating a "golden age" of Linwu's reform and development.

Over the past 70 years, Linwu County has been striving to catch up with and promote its development, and its industrial development has achieved a profound transformation; has made overall plans to highlight its characteristics and achieved a complete transformation in its urban and rural outlook; has overcome difficulties and implemented them, and the ecological environment has achieved a green rise; has devoted its heart and soul to the people, and the people's livelihood has achieved a well-off acceleration; has made concerted efforts to make breakthroughs, and the development environment has been optimized and upgraded.

The three industrial structures were adjusted from 69.3:2.2:28.5 in 1952 to 8.1:48.6:43.4 in 2018. The GDP jumped from 10 million yuan in 1952 to 15.35 billion yuan in 2018, an increase of 1535 times, with an average annual increase of 11.8 percent in comparable prices. In 2018, the per capita disposable income of urban residents reached 27729 yuan, 576.7 times that of 1957, and that of rural residents reached 12980 yuan, 258.05 times that of 1957. Especially since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, Linwu County has achieved remarkable results in poverty alleviation, education, medical treatment, culture and other livelihood undertakings.
