It was reported that Chenzhou (Shanghai) Investment Promotion Conference of 2014 Hunan (Shanghai) Trade Fair Week was held in Shanghai city on June 16, 2014. 20 projects accounting for 19.2billion yuan investment were settled on site. Zhou Yupeng- President of Shanghai Modern Service Industry Association, former member of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and First Deputy Mayor of Shanghai City attended the promotion conference. Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee addressed a speech on the conference. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City presented detailed introduction of Chenzhou city’s modern service industry projects.

184 key projects were listed on the conference, including 66 modern service industry projects on modern logistics, modern trade, information and technology, culture and tourism, manorial economy, social service, real estate, and etc. 240 merchants and media reporters from Donghai Securities Co., Ltd., Red Star Macalline, Thailand Strategy 613 Company, Shanghai Xuanyuan Investment Co., Ltd., and other companies and media groups attended this promotion conference.

Concerned for the 20 signed projects, 1.8billion yuan agreement investment was placed by Red Star Macalline, Dongfang Wuchan Group, and Shanghai Jinlin Investment Co., Ltd. for first phase of Red Star International Furniture Center; 1.2 billion yuan investment was placed by Shanghai Non-ferrous Exchange Center E-commerce Co., Ltd. for spot trading center of Shanghai non-ferrous metals in Chenzhou city; and 1.1billion yuan was placed by Guangzhou Zesha Trading Co., Ltd. for Fucheng Donggu e-commerce warehouse logistics center.
Xiang Lili said it was purposely to expand the opening up, deepen the regional cooperation, and upgrade city’s popularity and competitiveness with the help of Shanghai city’s fame. It was a strategic measure for Chenzhou city’s to play sound role of its competitive advantages, promote its industrial transfer and reach win-win results by taking active cooperation with Shanghai, other cities in Yangtze River Delta region even international areas on modern service industries and strategic emerging industries.

Xiang said there were sound cooperation conditions, chances and expectations for Chenzhou and Shanghai city’s cooperation, especially under this “high speed train era”. As a hub city for Jingguang and Kunhu high speed railways, Chenzhou city became a hot investment destination for national and foreign capitals. Those 66 key investment projects were just parts of Chenzhou city’s modern service industry. This new-emerging industry would be promoted well with the help of all merchants.

Xiang expressed his willing to expand more chances to work together with Shanghai city’s merchants. As stated by Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government, key supports would be placed on the improvement of modern service industry to promote the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure. Best administrative service and investment condition would be provided by Chenzhou city to ensure all investments count. At the meantime, Chenzhou city would pay attention to study Shanghai city’s good experience on reform and opening up to upgrade Chenzhou city to be a city suitable for placing investment and living.

Qu Hai said 93.25billion yuan investment was planned to be placed on 487 modern service industry projects in Chenzhou city in 2014. A specified service mechanism would be carried out for all the key investment projects. It was purposely to grant a sound development condition for all the enterprises.

Zhou Yupeng shared his investigation experience in last 8 years with all the attendants. He said that Chenzhou city’s leading group was with open minds to support the modern service industry with favorable planning, project, policy and leading team; Chenzhou city was full of energy and potentiality for further economic development; and Chenzhou city was with sound comprehensive advantages and competitive advantage and low operation cost. Zhou encouraged the merchants to learn more details of Chenzhou city and settle down their investments in Chenzhou city by seizing good opportunities.

Li Xiaohong- Deputy Director of Economic Development Board of Shanghai Free Trade Zone (trial) Management Committee interpreted the policies of the zone. Sun Guobiao- Deputy Director of Shanghai Government Cooperation and Exchange Office and Zhong Yiping- Director of Hunan Zhongkun Investment Co., Ltd. delivered speeches on the conference.

Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city attended the conference as well.
