Qualitative Change- Chenzhou City’s Development Pattern Changes Rapidly
Chenzhou city was planned to be developed as the core city for its further development in south China
It was reported that Darryl Swaneep- the Chairman of ANC Council for the Promotion of Economic Development led an investigation delegation to visit Chenzhou city from September 4 to 5, 2014. Darryl stated that Chenzhou city was planned to be developed as the core city for the council’s further development in south China. Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee met with the delegation.
The ANC Council for the Promotion of Economic Development keeps long term cooperation with CCPIT, foreign economic and contact center of the International Liaison Department, China Federation of Industry and other Chinese units. Changchun city of Jilin province, Wuhan city of Hubei province and Hangzhou city of Zhejiang province were selected as its Chinese departments in north, central and east of China. Per this commercial investigation trip to Chenzhou city, many companies from CV Group, mining industry, environmental protection, architecture, transport service industry, and etc. dispatched their representatives to visit there.
Chenzhou city and South Africa’s communication was close from earlier days. South Africa office of Chenzhou city was established in 2003. The amount of the trade between Chenzhou city and South Africa covered 90% of the total volume for Chenzhou and Africa. Per 2013, $984 million was reached between Chenzhou city and South Africa, covering 98% of the total with Africa and 25.9% of the total foreign trade value. South Africa became the second largest global trade partner of Chenzhou city. Xiang Lili led an investigation delegation to South Africa last November and reached some agreements with South African companies, which set a new record for Chenzhou city’s international investment attraction.
Xiang Lili met with the delegation on September 4, 2014 and expressed his warm welcome to all the members. Xiang said it was a great expectation for Chenzhou and South Africa’s cooperation on the basis of Chenzhou city’s sound traffic location, resource, ecology and transportation condition. Darryl said that he saw the blue sky which was seldom to see in other cities of China. It indicated that Chenzhou city placed much attention on the improvement of environment condition. It was skillful for South Africa on the mining industry, so he hoped to reach more win-win cooperation with Chenzhou city on the mining projects.
In the afternoon of September 5, 2014, a trade meeting of trade cooperation between Chenzhou and South Africa was held in Chenzhou city. Darryl stated that Chenzhou city was planned to be developed as the core city for the council’s further development in south China. Furthermore, closer communication among Chenzhou city and some South African cities would be promoted in near future. A list of mining projects was released by the ANC Council for the Promotion of Economic Development at the meeting. Some relative departments carried out the joint work with the council.
