Travelling to Chenzhou city on this Dragon Boat Festival by high speed train to enjoy a not crowded trip

According to Guangzhou Railway Group’s statistic, Wuguang high speed train’s record on delivering passengers in single day was kept to be broken during this May Day holiday. Daily passenger flow and the peak of daily passenger flow were higher than the highest level of former Spring Festival travel.

Huang Xin- press spokesman of Guangzhou Railway Group said the reasons for this high level passenger flow in Guangdong province during this holiday were the short-term public holiday and Canton Fair, but the key reason was the establishment of high speed train network which highly influenced people’s travel pattern. 50% passengers chose high speed train to enjoy their journey.

Along with the improvement of high speed train network, people’s travel demands by high speed train increased sharply for its convenience. As shown by Guangzhou Railway Group that 4.59 million passengers were undertaken by the group from April 30 to May 3, 2014 with an increase of 14%. The daily average passengers flow was up to 1.15million and the peak time was for May 1st’s 1.33 million. All the data broke history record. Especially for the peak of daily passenger flow and the daily passenger flow were even higher than the highest level of former Spring Festival travel.

Wuguang high speed train, Xiashen railway, Hainan east high speed train and some other ones operated by Guangzhou Railway Group are close to many landscapes. Plus the good weather condition during May Day holiday, more travelers chose high speed train to enjoy their holiday. It was introduced by Guangzhou Railway Group that passengers were pouring to the high speed trains on May 2, 2014. 130,000 passengers were dispatched by Wuguang high speed train on that day, while 48,000 passengers for Xiashen railway, and 42,000 passengers for Hainan east high speed train.

“Blowout”of passenger flow along high speed trains lines

More and more people choose to travel by high speed train with the improvement of high speed train network. According to the statistics shown by some travel agents of Guangdong province, Xiamen trip from Guangdong province increase over 30% after the operation of Xiashen railway. 50% of the visitors chose the train to start their travel. 348 pairs of high speed CRH trains and 16 pairs of ordinary speed temporary trains were operated by Guangzhou Railway Group on May 2, 2014, dispatching 1.03million passengers with an increase of 13.9%. 50% passengers traveled by high speed train.
