Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City took an investigation to Dongjiang lake on its ecological protection and development. Qu required that further ecological protection and scientific development should be enhanced in Dongjiang lake to build the demonstration template of ecological civilization construction of Hunan province.

When Qu arrived at Tukou town, the mining wastewater purification project with 40 million yuan investment was busy in construction. Once the project finished, some metal mining wastewater can be efficiently purified by it and discharged under specified standards. Qu asked that the more attention should be paid on the project management to ensure its high quality and ensure that no untreated sewage to be discharged into Dongjiang lake.

Qu highly affirmed the construction work as roads upgrading, sewage treatment plant construction, townships reconstruction, tourism upgrading, etc. handled in Huangcao town. Qu also stated that along with the development of tourism, the counties and towns surrounded with Dongjiang lake should be improved with a sustainable development way with an overall planning and construction on their townships construction and sewage treatment network construction. The main purpose for those developments was to limit the influence on Dongjiang lake ecological condition caused by people’s daily life and production and to protect Dongjiang lake ecological.

Qu mentioned in the investigation trip that the favorable policies concerned for the protection of Dongjiang lake should be implemented well to further protect and scientifically develop Dongjiang lake and build the demonstration template of ecological civilization construction of Hunan province. The construction of small towns and tourism development should be followed the requirement of ecological civilization construction with better infrastructure condition and source pollution treatment to enhance the ecological condition of Dongjiang lake. Furthermore, leisure and high-end tourism industry should be improved by introducing more strategic investors with high standard to accelerate the living style transformation of local people and protect Dongjiang lake accordingly.
