It was learned from relative department of Guidong county that the highest altitude natural stone bridge of the county- Xianyuan bridge was listed in “Shanghai Great World Guinness Records”. It is the second item from the county enrolled in the records.

It was introduced that the bridge is a natural stone bridge made of granitic pluton. The bridge is located in Qiyunfeng area of Qiyunfeng National Forest Park. This 38.6meters long bridge spans 25.93meters. Its width is from 1.75meters to 2.1meters, thickness is from 2.5meters to 4meters, and height is about 23.13meters. The rate of decay for the granitic pluton is slight, so the bridge keeps stable that it can bear the car.

Xianyuan bridge which is one of the eight scenic spots of Guidong county is a natural stone bridge with the highest altitude and largest span in south Hunan province. It was used to be called as Lovesickness bridge, Love bridge, Couple bridge, Fairy bridge, and etc. It was written on one of the historic records that “A one-hundred-zhang (which is about 3.3meters) bridge which is not created by human is located in Guidong Qingshidong where is 70miles from the county. The bridge is called Fairy bridge.”The deck of the bridge is smooth in two ends, and a dip slope is in the middle. Thick grasses and trees grow well in both sides of the bridge.
